YA is a 3-day conference where several hundred middle schoolers, high schoolers, parents, and leaders come together to explore, encounter and exalt Jesus Christ. This happens through worship in song, relevant messages from God's Word, powerful ministry times, meaningful conversations with one another, and honestly - a lot of laughs. Outside of our general sessions together, there are plenty of fun things to do: basketball, volleyball, football, indoor & outdoor rock climbing, ropes course, zip line, the giant three person rope swing, and a fully loaded game room stocked with a disgusting amount of snacks and soda. Be prepared for outrageous games, prizes (parents win too) and some pretty sweet giveaways. Warning: you will be exhausted!
YA is $135 per person.

WHAT IF I NEED FINANCIAL HELP?
Please don't let money stand in the way of attending YA 2018. We don't want anyone to miss out on being a part of this conference. Limited scholarships are available for those who need financial assistance. Members of other local churches should first speak with their youth pastor regarding financial help.
WHY DO WE ENCOURAGE PARENTS TO ATTEND YOUTH ADVANCE?
We know it sounds crazy to encourage parents to attend a weekend event with their middle school or high school student. So, why do we actually ENCOURAGE parents to register for YA and participate with their student(s)? (We promise it’s not to annoy your teenager or because we delight in seeing you sleep deprived for an entire weekend. Although that is fun to see :)
The answer is simple: We love God’s heart and plan for your family. We recognize that first and foremost God has called fathers and mothers (not youth leaders) to “bring up their children in the training and instruction of the Lord” (Eph. 6:3). God wants parents to have the kind of relationship and influence with their sons/daughters where they can “ teach them and talk with them…" (Dt. 6:6).
Our prayer is that God might use Youth Advance 2018 to create a context where that might happen or begin to happen. Over the years we have seen God use YA to begin to bring about healing and reconciliation between teens and parents and help students talk about God more openly with their parents. Just as we all affirm the value of attending our kids sporting events, we must also consider the difference our participation can make in our kids spiritual lives/activities.
We realize not every parent can come, but please know that we REALLY would love for you to be YA 2018. God has something for you too mom/dad! And please don’t let money stand in the way. Our heart is to help every student and parent be able to attend.
One more thing , we give away some sweet prizes just for parents at YA too –just saying.
We hope you will join us!
